6 reasons you should buy travel insurance

When you travel, do you have a plan in place?  You book your hotel, tour, or cruise in advance, and you purchase your flights and plan which excursions you’ll take at your destination.  Sometimes you even plan and book your dinner and show reservations.  But have you planned for everything?

What happens if:

~You run through Charles de Gaulle airport to make your connection to Bucharest… but your luggage remains in Paris?

~You’re strolling along the streets of Carcassonne when you trip over an uneven stone… and you need to go to a local clinic?

~Your mother calls to tell you your son had a motorcycle accident and has been taken to the hospital… and you need to cut your trip short?

~You’re packed and ready to jet off to St. Thomas… but a winter storm hits and all flights are canceled?

~You had a great trip on the Italo train from Venice to Rome… but your travel documents are now headed back to Venice?

~You break out in a bad rash on that Mediterranean cruise… and you need to see the ship’s doctor?

These are just a few of the reasons I always recommend travel insurance.  Hopefully, none of these things will happen to you.  But if you plan for your whole trip, you’ll be able to enjoy it worry-free.

Note:  Each travel insurance policy is different, you should always refer to the terms and conditions of your policy to see exactly what is covered.
